The knowledge Hub generates, processes and stores knowledge for use in the benefit for the cooperative 360 agenda, including that of defending human rights, nurturing democracy, promoting economic empowerment. Knowledge is generated from ordinary citizens, public policy experts, subject mater specialists with relevance to the vision and mission of the coop360 initiative.



Our Values

This is a carefully selected leadership team that meets regularly to build common beliefs, values and sense of mission in the membership and public policy discourse. These meetings and retreats provide leaders with quality time for reflection to design strategies, tactics and action plans that can maximize the cooperatives space for delivering an advocacy agenda. This thought leadership team undergo a revision of their roles, responsibilities, duties and values and principles to fit into the actual and predicted challenges. New ideas generated at thought leadership meetings, is developed into think pieces, working papers and in some cases studies may be commissions to strengthen evidence.  Such ideas are necessary for developing the cooperative and citizen is central agenda.

The Think Tank provides researched information to give credibility to all   advocacy work. During the first ever cooperative week in Uganda, cooperators submitted a ten-point petition to the 10th parliament, a task force was put in place to follow up over the coming months and years. These studies for up-to-date evidence that will inform our advocacy and mobilize cooperators to actively participate in advocacy. From time to time specific policy research studies will be commissioned whose reports will be shared widely and used to influence public policy and public opinion.

The idea of think pieces if to generate new thinking around issues of public interest and in this case what would be the central role of citizens in such an agenda. For the case of cooperatives citizens must build cooperatives hence must be in the driving seat for revitalizing the cooperative movement in any context. The cooperative movement is a vehicle for economic and democratic reforms that is citizen based and this think pieces drive the ideas in that direction.
